Interview. Do you believe that everyone is nervous when it comes to an interview?

Well, maybe not everyone, and maybe you🫵 don’t have to be either. The whole reason we get anxious for an interview is because we see the interviewer as if he has the upper hand, the control of the situation. You let your mind wander on about what the interviewer may ask you and how you’ll have to answer. In that moment we might see the interview as a question and answer session, right? But… Why should we see it in that perspective only? Why can’t we just think of it as a little talk with a stranger you’ve met who is asking you about yourself?

Of course this perspective only lasts until questions like “why should we hire you?” come up. The thing is, I don’t know if confidence is a mood but we can definitely make it a mood! Not just before going to an interview, but any moment you need to be confident in yourself, your knowledge, your skills and everything you know.

Of course you need skills for a job  but what you really need to know is how to adapt in any situation, how to learn from any situation, how to handle any kind of turbulence or problem calmly, and how to apply what you’ve learnt before in various situations you come across.

So for an interview or in a job, you need an adaptable and smart mind that’s open to learning and applying what it has learned.

Basically the whole point is, the key is to convey confidence. You need to let the interviewer know that you know your stuff, and even if there’s something you don’t know that the job requires, you can be quick at learning and that you can crack the code to get through.

So? Interview? Be yourself, know your stuff, and be confident that you can tackle anything in the job. You need to convey that you know what you CAN do!

All the best!
