Results or your efforts? Which one matters in the end?

Alright let’s not skip to the end already! Let’s begin first. That’s a point to be noted, No matter what you want to do, you have to start first, to move forward with it and get a hang of it.

Many times, all we do is just sit and dream. “I wish I could buy my own house..” “I wish I could be a lead designer…” “I wish I could drive a car..”  So many things we let our mind think of, but why not think of how to actually start working on it so that someday you can really say “I did it!” “I’ve made my dream come true!” right?

You could let your mind think of a time to go practice driving. And maintain consistency, so that you get so good at it that you don’t have to “try to be perfect anymore”

You have to begin to get anywhere you want. That’s one thing.

Then again, just starting isn’t the only thing you need. Most of us are so bent upon perfection. But when you just focus on getting something perfect…it means you are narrowing your focus only on the result. That creates your thinking rigid, only aims at one thing…getting a perfect result.

What if you just focus on the current moment, and the ideas you build in the moment, maybe you could create a wild masterpiece! Maybe if you don’t limit your ideas with just perfection, you can unveil endless amazing results! Forget perfection!

Here’s a small example, say you want to be perfect at dancing. In that mindset maybe you’ll practice one step again and again until you get perfect at it, but that’s not the consistency we’re talking about. Be consistent in the subject. Keep your mind consistent about learning more about the subject. Here the subject is dance, so how can you add grace to your steps, how can you dance more freely, how can you express the emotion of the dance, etc…

Consistency is not just doing something again and again until you get it. Consistency is learning something new and getting better at it every time you do something on a regular basis!

Aiming at consistency and efforts in the moment, while in the journey is what will make all the difference rather than aiming at perfect results. That’s why they say “Don’t focus on the end result, just give your best and leave the rest” The destination is just a moment, but the journey is the whole story! Make that worth it with the right efforts, ideas and implementation!
