PV Sindhu. An iconic and inspirational badminton player! Setting her goals and dreams up from the age of 8, and stepping up her game to reach each of her dreams.
From the beginning of her career till today, she has played many national and international games. Won some and lost some. But she has indeed worked hard, and practiced with all her might to win each game.
She has won numerous medals in the internationals, and through persistence and many failures in between she earned her place in the Olympics!
Successfully having won a silver and a bronze in 2016 and 2020 olympics, It really let her down that she came home without a medal in the Paris olympics 2024. Especially after 2 years of immense struggle and everything she has faced, it hit hard.
She practiced even through her injury to get this far and she really wanted to make it her third win for our India, which is exactly what made the loss even more heartbreaking.
After the game, Sindhu announced that she’ll be going for a short break, for both her mental and physical well being. She made it clear that no, it’s not the end.
You see, she has a point. We may have faced struggles, we may have successfully overcome many problems. But when you really need it, when you really need to let go for a while, it is okay to take a break, take rest, and give some time for yourself to heal and work out life at a slow pace.
It’s completely okay to take a break when you need it. Just remember to come back to life better than before, with a stronger and a more positive mind, with more willpower to solve your situations.
Failing once, or a hundred times, or even more. It’s always going to teach you to become a better person. So don’t regret your failures or mistakes. Just learn from them, and get better.
